For this week’s blog post, I decided to compile a bunch of my favorite shots that I’ve taken with the TX-10 CyberShot camera from Sony. To me, this series of photos shows off a lot of the amazing capabilities of the CyberShot, including a fireworks mode, underwater mode, panorama, macro settings, and more.

First off, I didn’t think it was possible for me to love any camera more than I love the TX-10. And yet, Sony has blown me away again.
For all the camera techies out there, the Nex-5 is a bit like a miniature DSLR camera. It has a compact body, but can still handle the big, professional lenses that capture gorgeous, richly detailed images. If you have experience with SLR cameras that use film, or you just want to mess around, the manual shooting mode is a great wya to unleash your creativity. Literally, I just spent half an hour playing with the aperture and shutter speed to achieve different looks as I was taking pictures of things in my room.
But for those of us who are not quite such big camera-nerd, there are also lots of fun effects to choose from such as toy camera, posterization, high contrast, retro, and partial color, which are all great, easy ways to transform the way your photos capture the world.
Best of all, I know that no matter when or where I’m taking pictures with this camera, I’m going to get the shot. The Sony Exmor™ APS HD CMOS sensor and SteadyShot technology will make sure of that. Whether my hands are shaky or the lighting is dim, Sony has got me covered.
I haven’t even tried out so many of the features yet. Like the TX-10, the Nex-5N is capable of shooting in full HD video, aside from being able to shoot up to 10 frames per second. It also shoots wicked cool panoramas in 2D and 3D. I can’t wait to test out that feature when I go to Colorado this summer.
In case all these cool features aren’t enough, you can add to the abilities of your camera by purchasing any one of more than 30 different kinds of lenses. I will definitely be asking for a macro lense for Christmas this year so I can take the kind of mind-boggling super close-up shots you see in books and magazines.
With all the ways it can can adapt to suit your skill level and photography needs, the Alpha Nex-5N is a camera I would recommend to anyone. That’s why I decided to write this post. I genuinely adore this camera and I’m sure you will too.

Part of my job as a Sony Student Ambassador is to brush up on my knowledge of the latest and greatest Sony technology. On March 13, Sony announced their newest product in the line of Xperia phones: the Xperia sola. This brand new smartphone will allow its owners to interact with it in ways previously unseen in cellphones, though the technology is similar to that used in Kinect for Xbox. More details on exactly what the technology will improve in phone function is to be released soon. Check back for updates soon.

What’s one of my personal favorite Sony products, you ask?
Well, aside from all of them, I would have to say that SOny’s PIIQ Smooth Headphones have really earned my respect. First off, they’re definitely the most comfortable pair of headphones I’ve ever owned. Not only do they fit my head well, but they also adjust when I turn or move around, using a sweet Flex Motion design.
Next, these babies earn some serious style points.
I have them in gray, but the pop of pink is what really makes them as good looking as they are.
But of course, what’s more important when you get down to it than the sound? I love the way PIIQ phones mold to the shape of my ear to block out noise. That way, I don’t have to have my music turned up super loud to enjoy it. When I do want to blast it however, Sony still produces a level of sound quality that far surpasses the rest.
